When muralist Marianne Leedy couldn't find the right decorations for her home, she pulled out the paintbrushes and decided to create her ideal scene. Her hobby soon evolved into its own business, "Marianne's Kunst," as visitors viewed her walls in awe, longing for similar creations in their own homes!

It all started in Scandinavia. Copenhagen, Denmark that is.

In Denmark I learned independance at a very early age. After completing high school at the age of 16, my family packed my bags and put me on a iceburg, said their goodbyes, wished me well and told me to call from time to time. They never expected I would float as far as the United States. When they received a postcard from New York City concerning my whereabouts, my parents didn't even know I was missing.

Upon floating as far south as Florida, my iceburg melted, so I decided to extend my stay in the Sunshine State.

Anyway, my mother was the creative and talented one. She painted porcelain plates, knitted, sewed, and much more. I remember watching her cook a meal, read a book, and knit a sweater, all simultaneously. Fortunately, many of her talents were embedded in my DNA.

So, here I am painting wall murals with my own creative style. I call it "Marianne's Kunst." Kunst (pronounced like the word "cone" with an "-st" on the end) is the Danish word for "art."

If you like what you see, and have a wall you just don't know what to do with, perhaps a mural is right for you. Call me for further information: (813) 681-4366.
