Steven Rodriguez is a singer/songwriter with a broad range of musical talents. His original songs have a unique style which can be described as acoustic adult contemporary. His lyrics convey stories from his life as well as those around him. Steve was born and raised on Long Island and has spent many years singing and playing in local rock bands. He has always had a love for music, and one day a friend turned him on to the Kenny Loggin’s “Leap of Faith” album. That was the turning point that really sparked his desire to pursue his musical goals.
Steve’s been performing throughout Long Island for the past 8 years at area venues and charity events. He is an annual performer at Suffolk County’s “Earth Day Festival”, as well as at the “Cure Mommy Foundation” breast cancer walk. Steve has also lent his time to play music in Roosevelt Children’s Hospital, and has written music for “Songs of Love”. This is an organization that seeks out artists to write original songs for children who are terminally ill, or suffer from debilitating diseases. In addition, Steve had an hour long interview and live performance of his new material on a local radio station (WCWP/88.1FM). Steve has done shows at many area lounges most notably The Stephen Talkhouse. He regularly performs at Sagamore, Oysterman’s, The Roadhouse and Lily Flanagan’s to name a few.
Steve currently resides in Williston Park, Long Island. He is busy writing and recording songs for his next album in his home studio.
