I'm chasing dreams down the highway
The scenery goes flyin' by
I'm losing my sense of possibility
Yesterday's vivid dreams quickly fade to black and white
Seems a winding road that leads to nowhere
She lights a cigarette and hangs her head down
She's got a ticket for a ride that's never coming
She only sees life in shades of gray
She's been colorblind for years
And now she's looking for a way out
But her troubles fade when smoke gets in her eyes
She sees it all in gray
She sees it all in gray
But if she could see life from a new perspective
She might see the colors - see every color of this life
Smoke arises, ashes fall
Flicked from fingers calloused by the cards that she's been dealt
Our eyes meet for just a moment's time
But in that moment all the colors come to life
And the road unwinds to endless possibilities
Oh-whoa, Oh-whoa, Oh-whoa, Oh-whoa
How many colors can you see
With your eyes closed?
While each and every day a waking earth arises
Inviting all the world to see
Come see the colors!
Just open up your eyes
Today it's all within our hands
To see life from new perspectives
See a new perspective
